European commodity trading
Was established in 2007 under the name Sector Epsilon AS, with Sector Asset Management and Thor Lien as owners. Since the establishment it has managed the commodity fund Sector Europower. This fund was closed in 2017, and the company is now taken over fully by Thor Lien, and renamed to Nordic Asset Management.
Our objective
is to develop commodity strategies that are aiming to deliver strong risk adjusted return with low volatility and little or no correlation to other asset classes.

Our Team
Thor Lien
Managing Director
Thor Lien, born 1968, with 28 years experience from the power market.
He was one of the first active power traders in the industry for Gjermå Energi from 1992.
In 1996 he started Enron Nordic Energy and built a profitable business with 80 employees before selling the business to AEP in 2001, where he was the CEO of the Nordic business.
In 2003 Mr. Lien bought the company himself together with 4 other employees of AEP Nordic, and was the CEO and part owner until they sold the company in 2005.
In 2006 he Joined Sector Asset Management, and Started Sector Europower, a fund managed by Sector Epsilon AS where he was Managing Director and CIO. This Company is now fully owned by him, and renamed to Nordic Asset Management AS. Mr Lien holds a BSc in Management from Norwegian School of Management
